Welcome to our Friday WRAP – one thought-provoking idea to think about over the weekend.
Our organizations are continually transforming, and today the catalyst is the digital opportunities that crop up daily in our world. Recently the Sloan Management Review published research on Transforming the Digital Enterprise done by MIT researchers and Deloitte Digital. The work is nicely summarized in an Infographic. Some of the more interesting statistics were:
91% of employees believe digital technologies have the potential to fundamentally transform the way people in their organization work but only 43% of employees are satisfied with their organization’s current reaction to digital trends.
The digital transformation begins with strategy, culture and leadership. The advice from the infographic is:
- Strategy: Think long term, then work backwards to develop a clear strategy, focused on transformation
- Culture: Shift cultural mindsets to increase collaboration and encourage risk-taking
- Leadership: The digital agenda starts from the top, based on possibilities at the intersection of business and technology.
What does digital transformation look like in your organization? How are your employees feeling about this transformation? What can you do to get them on board with your digital enterprise vision?
That’s a WRAP! Have a great weekend!
