Hank Leingang has extensive experience as an IT executive and is a recognized leader in the IT industry regarding the business impact of the CIO, the strategic impact of IT in the enterprise and the growing competency mix needed in IT leadership. He has served in CEO, CIO and consulting roles.
Hank advises both IT and operating executives. He has led IT in $100 million to Fortune 100 companies. He has identified, validated, developed and executed IT strategies and operations improvement programs. In addition to solving specific problems, his focus is business impact and sustained alignment of IT execution with business requirements.
As a transformational CIO at Bechtel Group, Viacom Inc. and Triangle Industries, Hank spent most of his career leading strategic change in operating capability leveraging IT, process re-engineering and organizational development.
As an Independent Consultant, Hank served as a Senior Consultant in Korn/Ferry’s IT Officers Center of Expertise and previously was the CEO of ITM Software. He led the sale of ITM to BMC Software. Hank is the founder and Consultant of ThinkLift®, a business/IT strategy and operations improvement consultancy. Earlier in his career, he also served as a senior IT executive at Interpace and a consultant at Touche Ross.
Mr. Leingang is a member of the board of directors of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, a non-profit, specialty hospital. He also served on the advisory board of Contoural, a leading independent consultancy focused on compliance, data management and storage strategy.
He earned a master’s in business administration from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and a bachelor of science degree in industrial administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
