Welcome to our Friday WRAP – one thought-provoking idea to think about over the weekend.
For the first post of the new year, we found an interesting blog about Disruptive Marketing Trends for 2015 by Bryan Kramer, TED speaker, author and CEO of digital media agency PureMatter. Bryan suggests that a “platform of sharing” will continue to rise in importance, becoming the dominate way companies interact with customers. Bryan’s disruptive marketing trends for businesses are:
- Video Becomes Experiential (new ways to create and use video)
- Shareable Experiences (Brands find innovative ways to socially share personal experiences in real time)
- Narrative Science (where data is analyzed and stories created automatically from the data)
- Transmedia Storytelling (stories are pieced together as a transmedia thread, surrounding us and making the actual product or service feel like just a small piece of the whole)
- Personalized (Human) Marketing (real personalization-not just identification- with personality trait mapping and right-time marketing messaging)
- Narrowing of API’s (companies will pull back on open APIs as a way to offer analytics directly, and not through a 3rd party)
Which of these trends will be most impactful for your organization? How are you preparing?
That’s a WRAP! Have a great weekend and Happy New Year!
