Business relationship management has a critical role in helping IT leaders build the best capabilities possible for working with their business partners. Recently, the CSC Leading Edge Forum published a blog titled, Why is Business Relationship Management so Important in Today’s Rapidly Evolving IT World? that outlined four types of IT/Business relationships. Researcher Kirt Mead explains,
The LEF has been following the BRM trend for many years, and in its past research has observed four different business/IT relationship models – those of Provider, Promoter, Partner and Peer – and thus four distinct roles that Enterprise IT must address if the function is to contribute fully at all levels of the business.
