Minimizing IT Job Frustration

Dateline: March 13, 2015

Welcome to our Friday WRAP – one thought-provoking idea to think about over the weekend.

Recently, John Reed, Senior Executive Director at Robert Half Technology, published a short article about 5 Top Sources of Job Frustrations for Your IT Team.  He said,

In our work with clients, we often hear them mention five sources of discontentment among tech employees:

1. Few opportunities for advancement-  employees feel stagnant in their career.
2.  Unmanageable workload-  the hectic, heightened level of employees workload becomes the norm.
3.  Few chances to learn new skills- there are not enough opportunities in the workplace to keep employees’ abilities up-to-date.
4.  Not empowered to make decisions- employees have to ask permission before acting.
5.  Don’t see eye to eye with the manager- conflicts with management.

How do you make sure the frustration level is as low as possible for your team?

That’s a WRAP! Have a great weekend.
