Designing Intuitive Technology

Dateline: September 12, 2014

Welcome to our Friday WRAP – one thought-provoking idea to think about over the weekend.

This week’s idea comes from a column titled, “The Social Business Gets Results“, written by Sam Greengard at Baseline Magazine.

…in the rapidly unfolding digital age, it’s clear that electronic interaction is systematically remapping and rewiring the central nervous system of the enterprise. Mobility, unified communications (UC), cloud computing, social business systems and a variety of other collaboration tools are ushering in an array of challenges and opportunities.

The column continues with a very interesting observation of the purpose of social business,

The goal of social business is to create connection points based on dynamic and moment-by-moment needs. This means that the technology must be designed to work in an intuitive and natural way.

How intuitive is your technology?  How easy is it to use? How well can it respond to dynamic and moment-by-moment needs?

That’s a WRAP!  Have a great weekend.
