Building a Data Security Culture

Dateline: June 24, 2016

Welcome to our Friday WRAP – one thought-provoking idea to think about over the weekend.

Last week’s idea was from MIT’s recent CIO Symposium.  Today’s idea also came from that event.  Professor Sandy Pentland moderated a panel session on Big Data 2.0  that was summarized in Baseline Magazine.  One panelist, Anthony Christie, from Level 3 Communications was quoted,

“I don’t think there is a complete security solution in place today,” said Christie. “What we need is a culture that can deal with security.” And that culture should include regulatory compliance, localization and privacy.

What does (or would) a data security culture look like in your organization?

That’s a WRAP!  Have a great weekend!
